Easy Flatbread Pizza

I just want to be in my sweats, fuss my cat and eat pizza whilst watching YouTube, is that too much to ask?

Okay, so here is officially the easiest way to make pizza, apart from putting a frozen pizza in the oven or ordering a take out! It only takes 3 ingredients, just a few moments effort and then voila, a delicious customised pizza to be enjoyed, on the sofa, in sweats and in the optional company of your pet.

The wonderful thing about this recipe is that It can be adapted to fit a healthy lifestyle because everyone knows that a healthy lifestyle includes pizza. You can easily make a whole pizza for less than 500 calories, if that’s important, for me it’s more about convenience and taste. Plus, by taking away anything unnecessary, topping with whatever you fancy or whatever you have in the fridge, it’s the perfect mid-week dinner!

Easy Flatbread Pizza

(Serves 1)

100g Plain Flour (Plus more for dusting)

Half a teaspoon baking powder

85ml water

Optional – Herbs and spices

Topping’s – This is 100% your choice, go wild!

Start by preheating your oven to 180 degrees and placing your flour and baking powder (and any herbs etc) into a large mixing bowl. Gradually add in the water to the dry mix and stir until a dough forms, then flour a chopping board and knead the dough for a couple of minutes.

Then roll out into your pizza base in a shape of your choice and dry fry on medium heat in a large frying pan, around 2 minutes each side will do – It should resemble a naan bread.

Now, place the base onto a baking tray and decorate with whatever toppings take your fancy and oven bake for 15-20 minutes depending on how crispy you’d like the base to be.

Happy Pizza Eating!
