Chamonix Mountain Festival

Mountains are one of natures most spectacular creations…I think you’ll agree?

I make no secret of the fact I love Chamonix, as a town it has so much to offer by the means of great food, the weather is often good and there is a variety of shops including Chanel, The Infamous Snell Sports, Super Dry, Helly Hanson, The North Face and many others.

But most of all it’s beautiful, easy to access and offers an amazing selection of different sports.

You can Ski or Board in winter, snow shoe, Ice Climb, Rock Climb, Boulder, Alpine Climb/Walk, Run, Trek or enjoy playing on the tree top assault course.

So what if I was to tell you about a festival that includes food, accommodation, lift passes, assistance with transport and climbing route information and advise and plenty of fun like minded people?

Would you be interested? Would that sound like seriously good fun?

Well here you go..

Chamonix Mountain Festival 1-8 June 2013

*Not a climber? There will be plenty of people using the REDUCED COST lift passes for walking, running and ski touring.

*New Climber/Scrambler? Not to worry the meet is open to climbers and mountaineers at all levels.

*No partner? Don’t be put off if you are on your own, they will help you find partners.

*Vegetarian? They aim to cater for food allergies and certain requirements.

*I don’t have books or paper guides? The event is setting up a mini information centre with print facilities for route descriptions.

How Much?

The total cost including lift passes, food and accommodation is 430.00 Euro (around £371.00) which is an absolute bargain. When you consider how cheap flights are in June and 2 minutes on Google will show you just how discounted accommodation and lift passes are (previously I’ve paid around £43 a day for a lift pass alone) this really is a not to be missed event.

Where can I find out more?

You can check out the website  *here* where there are manly contacts who will be able to assist you further.

Please note that this is open to people WORLD WIDE and is supported by ‘The Alpine Club’ and various other company’s.

Let me know how you get on if you choose to go?

Katie
