Naked Nutrition Review

Today, I’m going to talk about getting Naked. Okay, calm down, this is a family-friendly blog. I’m going to talk about getting Naked with your Nutrition. Because, quite frankly the world of protein powders and supplements can all get a little bit, well complicated really. All these buzz words, unknown chemicals, and claims that sound, almost too good to be true.

Which is why, stripping back and simplifying everything, sounded like a pretty good idea to me…

Personally, I’m currently following a reasonably high protein diet. Because at this present time it works best for my lifestyle and performance goals. The only sticking point is that I’m unable to digest most whey products and I’ve recently discovered I’m intolerant of soya. This leaves me, and many others with a very small market to choose from. This is where Naked Nutrition with their Slightly Less Naked” – Vanilla Pea Protein Powder comes in.

So, here are the facts that matter:

  1. This is made exclusively from farms in the United States and Canada

  2. It’s Vegan and Vegetarian

  3. Don’t worry, there are no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors

  4. Each serving packs in 25 grams of protein and 5.6 grams of BCAA’s.

  5. This protein powder contains only three ingredients: Yellow Pea Protein, Vanilla, and Organic Coconut Sugar

  6. Non-GMO, soy-free, and gluten-free (hurrah!)

  7. It’s completely dairy-free

  8. Naked Nutrition have environmentally-friendly farming practices

When this arrived, my first impression was “this is gigantic” – Let me explain. We rarely get 5lb tubs of protein here in the UK, therefore the volume was a real treat. My second thought was “I can actually see the vanilla which, might initially sound like a small thing but actually, hear me out, how often do you buy vanilla products where you can see the vanilla bean?. Because in my little world, this is increasingly rare. It’s a sign of quality and when it comes to my protein powder choices and overall nutrition, good quality real food is a high priority.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, it’ll come as no surprise to you that I tend to make meals with my protein powder. I’ve added this to my oats, to my pancakes and I’ve also made this delicious Banana Bread Slice recipe with it. Which is the ideal portable snack, or you could grab a couple of slices for a breakfast on the move.

I love the fact this packs in 25grams of protein in each serving, plus there’s no strange aftertaste and it blends absolutely perfectly. If you prefer to flavor your own protein, there’s an option for plain and/or chocolate. Plus, powdered peanut butter, which is a brilliant kitchen staple that I use frequently.

Next time you find yourself requiring a new protein powder, I firmly recommend giving Naked Nutrition a try.
