Bread Street Kitchen London

I could really get into the whole brunch concept, I’m a huge breakfast fan, so the idea of mixing it up with lunch really works for me. One thing I will say is that I feel like my local town of Northampton hasn’t quite caught on to the brunch concept, but it’s nice for a treat when visiting London. Bread Street Kitchen is part of the Gordon Ramsay Group and offers a small but tasty brunch menu, allowing you to mix and match with main and side courses. I was completely torn between my addiction to pancakes and love of eggs, fortunately Harriet was happy to share pancakes with me. I don’t normally share food but I can make some exceptions…

Soon we were sipping coffee, watching plates of Eggs Benedict and Florentine appear on our table, along with a full English and our dreamy buttermilk pancakes. One of the finer points of the menu was ‘Bottomless’ Bubbles, 2009 Chapel Down Blanc de Blanc or Bloody Mary. I’m a very occasional drinker yet bubbles are a must have on a day out in London, it’s good to live a little and I was delighted to see my glass being topped up.

Overall the general consensus is that we were all very content with the food, whilst I will just add that the service was slightly slow at times. My Scrambled eggs with chorizo, caramelised onion, Monterey Jack cheese hit the spot perfectly, the mac’n’cheese looked scrumptious and you must order pancakes.

The interior is funky, light and modern – I absolutely loved the free photo booth! There’s something about them that makes me want to relive my teenage years of cramming into a booth to take silly shots. Sadly the printer wasn’t working so I can’t share our photo booth shots from brunch, maybe that’s a good thing?

For London dining I thought the cost and quality of the food was extremely reasonable, would I return again? Absolutely….

Is Brunch something you enjoy? Where would you recommend?

Psst : We paid for our own food and drink, this is not a sponsored review – I just wanted to share my experience.
