If I miss one thing about climbing, especially alpine climbing it’s the views and sense of peace.
Moments when the only colour’s are back, white and grey…lit up by the bright blue sky when your above or close to the clouds…The occasional bird exists that altitude but from memory I only ever saw a crow.
G kindly took me to Windsor as I was insistent that during our mini break I was to spend time outside, enjoying the sun and taking in the views of somewhere new. We took a route called ‘ The Long Walk’ in ‘The Great Park’which took in some of the deer parkand the statue of King George III..
We sat up on the hill that leads down from the statue onto the magnificent path to the castle and took a few moments just to take in and enjoy the view.

The Great Park allows you to run, walk and ride and I thoroughly recommend spending a few hours here if you’re in the area, I shall have to go back there just to run.

Windswept on the Monday afternoon..Whilst we all like to slate the UK there’s no denying the beauty of the path to the Castle which is part of our beautiful heritage behind me.

Juneathon Day 20

I felt really in the mood to switch things up a little so I spent 20 minutes interval training using the highest and lowest settings on the rowing machine, instead of my normal 5km I covered 4.8km but it felt great.

I then completed 3 one minute exercises in a mini circuit to test my times…

Starjumps:

Round One – 62 
Round Two -65 
Round Three – 69

Push ups: (*note not full on push ups) 
Round One – 30
Round Two – 40 
round Three – 29

Crunches:
Round One – 35
Round Two – 40
Round Three – 40 

To complete 25 minutes of weights and 100 weighted (3 KG) squats.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday…
