Apple and Cinnamon Loaf Cake

I was recently contacted by Worktop Express to take part in an Ebook for recipes you can create whilst using produce you’ve grown yourself at home.

From the garden to the table…

Naturally, I was drawn to this idea as we have a vegetable patch and have been successfully growing our own produce for the past few years. The beauty of this cake is the fact you can use apples or any other fruit that you’ve been harvesting, for example, pears or fresh berries.

I love how the sweet flavours of apple blend perfectly with cinnamon and the creamy whipped vanilla frosting just makes it feel like more of a reward for all your hard work in the garden (or kitchen). The beauty of this cake is the fact that it’s so versatile, you could leave it unfrosted and pair with a cup of tea for an afternoon snack.
