How to…Make the best smoothie!


Well Hello there,

I’ve been thinking about my blog a lot recently and realised I want to offer a little bit more, admittedly this year has been seriously hectic and It’s been hard for me to update as much as I’d like.

My intention is to start a ‘How to..’ series of posts; over my year’s I’ve actually picked up some interesting facts in lifestyle, sport, food and business. Whilst I may not be a ‘keen learner‘ in the traditional sense; my intention is to share some of the thing’s I’ve actually managed to remember during the last 3 year’s.

Somehow; I manage business, working out 6 day’s a week, social media, mothering a very needy Bengal cat, prepping what feels like a billion meals a week and prancing around with friends. I only have a complete breakdown once every six weeks, it’s cool…I always keep chocolate in the house. Also, I think you should know that I can’t go to work until, I’ve checked that I’ve locked the door and turned my straighteners off 16 times.

Let’s talk about Green Smoothies..

I do love a smoothie, however I’m going to be honest and say that traditional ‘Green Smoothies‘ leave me cold. I like something a little different and I’m sucker for sweet/savoury, sometimes it just works like a dream.

This smoothie can thank spinach for it’s bright green colour and spinach should be on your smoothie list as its packed with: vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese.

*Phew* That’s quite a a lot…

Then we’ll sweeten with pineapple (great for digestion and vitamin C) and it’s good to stand tall and wear a crown (just like pineapple) and we’ll season with punchy fresh basil.

Throw everything into your blender, add tonnes of ice and a little water, blast up and serve.

  1. I do like a smoothie, but normally in a bowl with a little muesli sprinkled on top.I like frozen banana, frozen cherries, a little almond milk and maybe some peanut butter.

    1. I wish I liked banana as it appears to make things really thick and creamy..But frozen cherries are heavenly! x
